Yes that’s right, I am in love with my blender. That super versatile and simple to operate appliance that sits on my counter-top. It’s probably the one thing I own that I use most often (and that includes my car and my television!). That blender gets a workout, plain and simple. I must use that thing two, maybe three, times a day at least six days of the week, all 52 weeks of the year. In fact, I’m amazed at how well it has held up all of this time. I found it at www.blendaway.us, this consumer website that has all the reviews of the best blenders from the major companies like Ninja, Hamilton, Breville, and KitchenAid, among others. It’s run by a guy named Alan who really seems to love blenders as much (or probably more than) I do. He knows what makes one blender better than another and teaches you what to look for and what to avoid when you’re selecting the blender you want for your home. He also breaks his reviews down in categories – best commercial blenders, best smoothie makers – there’s even a category for immersion blenders (which were foreign to me until I read up on them at Alan’s site).
So back to my blender and what I love about it. The reasons I love the blender aren’t particularly exclusive to mine alone, I think I’d be thrilled about these things with any blender. The one I bought happens to be reliable enough to withstand the constant use that I inflict upon it and has been nothing short of an absolute workhorse for a little over two years now! But the reason I love my blender so much is because it affords me the ability whip up a healthy meal in just minutes. Whether it’s a nutritional breakfast on the go in the morning or a protein-filled meal in between appointments, the blender is always there for me to make something fast and delicious. The blender also lets me add some culinary flair to my other meals, whether I want to make a sauce or puree or whatever a particular recipe calls for, I can make it fast with my trusty blender. Best of all, this thing is super easy to clean up as well. I just rinse out the pitcher and stick in the dishwasher. Although what’s even better is that since I use it so often I’m often left to wash it out by hand and all the components come apart easily so I can wash them in the sink. Then I just slap them all back together again and I’m ready for the next task.
The blender allows me the freedom and creativity I want when it comes to food prep and it doesn’t even matter what food I want to make. My blender is ready to go at a moment’s notice, either before work, after the gym, or late at night when I’m still tinkering with that all-important project. I can always rely on the blender to make my tummy full when it’s in need of some nourishment. I cannot recommend one enough. If you don’t have a blender in your home, then what are you waiting for? You’re missing out!
