Waring Waffle Irons –Two of the Best

I love waffles. I love them because they are awesome and versatile.  You can eat them as a snack, for a main meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner.  You can eat them on their own or with toppings, my favourite topping is fruit and honey.

Over the years I have used many machines and my favourite make is Waring.  The machines are durable with pretty much every function you could need, thick, thin, variable heat, any size and shape. These machines are awesome.

To take out the pain of researching on the internet. I thought I would put together a guide to two of the best.

Waring Pro WWM1200SA Double Belgian-Waffle Maker

  • Makes 2 extra-deep Belgian waffles – 1-inch thick
  • Rotary feature for even baking on top and bottom
  • Rotary browning control knob
  • 3 audio beep tones; 2 LED’s

A Load of waffle…

This machine is a serious waffle maker. You buy this if you make a lot of waffles.  The cast iron plates have deep grids and make extra deep waffles.  This is great if you like to top your waffles with things like fruit, cream, honey or syrup. The heat has many settings and when it does heat up (can take a while) it cooks and browns the waffles evenly, and if you want, crisps them on another heat setting. The waffles really are lovely.

Pros

Makes very large waffles, heavy duty machine, easy to clean, makes two extra-deep waffles at once.

Cons

Takes a while to heat up, large machine.

Waring Commercial WW200 Heavy-Duty

  • Belgian waffle maker features heavy-duty commercial construction for durability
  • Designed with triple-coated cast iron, non-stick plates that allow for easy removal of waffles and quick clean-up
  • Heating elements are embedded into plates for precise temperature control
  • Comes with new space-saving vertical design with independent ready lights
  • Cooks two waffles at once

Tastes Good

This machine makes great waffles and has a lot of settings to suit every taste. This can be a bit tricky to get right but it is certainly worth the effort with the end result being as good as it is. It is very easy to clean, considering the plates and the machine itself are so big.

Pros

or

Even heat distribution, for a consistent golden-brown result. It has an audio beep signal when the unit is ready to cook and when the waffle is ready to serve.

Cons

A very large machine. It can take a while to get used to the heat settings to make your perfect waffle.

Conclusion

Both of the above machines are sturdy, robust machines and produce waffles that even a real connoisseur would be happy with. You will need a substantial amount of countertop space in your kitchen for these models but they are professional machines so you buy them knowing this fact.  In my opinion, the Waring Pro is the best cast iron Waring Pro waffle iron and the best waffle iron I have ever had. It has large, deep plates, a steady heat and the waffles come out fully cooked through and beautifully brown and crisp, if that is what you prefer. I promise you, if you invest in either of the machines I have mentioned above, you really won’t be disappointed.
